This oval skew chisel, or the oval falcon chisel, is made of HSS-M2 steel. It is a challenging tool, but if you master this chisel you can turn cyclinders super smoothly with it, but also V-grooves and convexities are easier to make thanks to the oval shape than with the flat angled chisel.
